Pioneer Electric is teaming up with other cooperatives to sponsor the 2023 Empower Energy Education Workshop for K-12 teachers June 4-6, 2023.

We will host 150 teachers from across Alabama and northwest Florida at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, where they’ll participate in activities designed specifically for educators who teach energy in the classroom.

Workshop registration, lodging at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa and meals at the event are included in the scholarship. Mileage to and from the event will also be reimbursed. Teachers who complete the workshop receive continuing education credits, a NEED Science of Energy kit, a class-set of NEED Energy Infobooks (at grade level), and access to all NEED Curriculum Guides and supplemental resources. Plus, attendees will have the opportunity to network with other educators.
